- Tour plan :

On the first day of your 8-day tour from Casablanca, we will meet you at the port, airport or your accommodation. You will explore the economic capital of Morocco. Our first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in the country. It is located next to the Atlantic Ocean and we will have some free time for lunch. Afterwards, we will explore the city and admire the beautiful Casablanca Corniche. You will spend the night in a hotel.

After breakfast, we will drive along the coast towards Rabat, the capital of Morocco. In Rabat, you will explore the highlights of the Moroccan capital, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. You will have some free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will head north passing through Ouazzane to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, where you will spend the night in a hotel.

After breakfast, go and explore the beautiful streets of Chefchaouen, known as the blue city. Then, we will hop in a car and drive to Volubilis to see very old Roman buildings, registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are interesting things like ancient columns and nice mosaics everywhere. Next, we will drive 30 kilometers to see Meknes, a city with a lot of history. We will visit places like Bab Al-Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the Royal Stables, the Sahrij Souani Basin, and the Granary. After exploring, we will travel to Fes and spend the night in a riad.

Today we will explore the best parts of Fes. Fes is a very important city in Morocco for its culture and religion, and it is one of the great cities of yesteryear. First, in the morning, we will start at the gate of the Royal Palace. Then, we will explore the super old part of the city, called the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your local guide will show you around. We will start at the Blue Gate, called Bab Boujloud, and then we will venture through a bunch of small streets. We will see interesting places like the tanneries, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Medersa Bouanania. And don’t forget the Quaraouin Mosque and University, which is the oldest university of all! After that, we will leave the Medina and visit the Jewish quarter, also called “the Mellah”. In the afternoon, we will go to an old fortress to get a breathtaking view of the city. Finally, we will return to where we are staying, called Riad.

After breakfast, we head towards a place called Ifrane, passing through a village called Imouzzer. Ifrane is special because it is very cold, snowy, and has houses that look like those in the mountains of Switzerland. Next, we go to a forest where monkeys called Barbary macaques live. You can feed them and walk around the forest. After that, we go to a village called Midelt, where we have some free time for lunch. Then, we drive towards another desert of Merzouga through a pass and along a valley with stops to see nice views. In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, we ride camels and cross the sandy desert. We stop on a high sand hill to watch the sunset. Finally, we go to a camp, which is a mix of nomad tents and a luxury hotel. There, you can listen to Berber drum music, dance around a campfire and admire the stars in the wide open sky. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

After breakfast, we drive to Rissani, which used to be the capital of Tafilalet. It is still an important place for trade and has a large market that is busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. We visit a workshop where they make things from fossilized marble in Erfoud after visiting the market in Rissani. Then, we drive through palm groves in Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. These are huge gorges with red walls carved by the Todra River. Climbers really like these gorges, and you can explore them to enjoy the amazing views. Take some time to eat at a restaurant. After that, we drive through Boumalne Dades and head to the Dades Valley. We make sure to stop at the “monkey fingers” rock formation – it’s hard to miss! This place is high up on a mountain, giving us a great view of the Dades Valley. Finally, we end the day with dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

After breakfast, our next stop is Kalaa Magouna to visit the Valley of Roses. If you are lucky enough to visit in May, you might catch the Rose Festival where locals sell rose-related products such as cosmetics, rose water, oil, and perfumes. Then, we drive past the palm groves of Skoura and arrive in Ouarzazate where we take a tour of the film studios used for famous productions. Next, we explore the renowned Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This Kasbah has appeared in films such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as TV shows such as Game of Thrones. After that, we drive through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass on our way to Marrakech. We will stop for lunch and take photos at prominent locations. Spend the night in a Marrakech riad.

On the last day of your amazing 8-day tour from Casablanca, we will say goodbye. Depending on your flight schedule, we will take you from your accommodation in Marrakech back to the airport, ready to fly home with memories that will last a lifetime.
