- Tour plan :

In the morning, our driver will pick you up from your accommodation. Departure from Fes to Merzouga. We head towards a place called Ifrane, driving through a village called Imouzzer.

Ifrane is special because it is very cold, snowy and has houses that look like those in the mountains of Switzerland. Next, we go to a forest where monkeys called Barbary macaques live. You can feed them and walk through the forest. Afterwards, we go to a village called Midelt where we have free time for lunch. Then, we drive to another desert in Merzouga through a pass and along a valley with stops to see nice views. In the afternoon, we reach the Sahara desert in Merzouga. Here, we ride camels and drive through the immense desert. We stop at a dune to watch the sunset. Finally, we arrive at a camp, which is like a mix of nomadic tents and a fancy hotel.

There, you can listen to Berber drum music, dance around a campfire and admire the stars in the wide open sky. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise in the desert – it’s a must-see! Make time for breakfast. Afterwards, head back to Merzouga on camels – the driver will be waiting. We tour the Merzouga region. It’s packed with amazing places for outdoor activities, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil regions and wonderful oases. In Merzouga, we start with an off-road ride to an abandoned eyeliner mine.

Afterwards, we have tea with the Berbers and meet the nomads in their hand-woven tent to learn about their way of life. The next stop is the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. The people who live here are from sub-Saharan nations, including Nigeria, Sudan and Mali.

We take a break for lunch at a restaurant. Afterwards, we stroll through a palm forest and drive a little to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as the lake of flamingos. Finally, we return to Merzouga for dinner and overnight in a hotel

After breakfast, we drive to Rissani, which used to be the capital of Tafilalet. It is still an important place for trade and has a large market that is busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Afterwards, we visit a workshop where they make things out of fossilized marble in Erfoud.

Then, we drive across the Ziz River and stop to enjoy a panoramic view of this valley. The trip continues passing through the cedar forest and Ifrane, concluding in Fez. Your tour ends when we drop you off at the airport or your accommodation. End of tour.
