Along the way, we will make stops to see the famous goats in the argan trees and enjoy panoramic views. Upon arrival in Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, we will explore one of the most significant coastal towns in Morocco. Our visit includes the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons and a walk through the old Medina. In the afternoon, we return to Marrakech for the night.
We will pick you up early from your accommodation. Then, we will embark on an exciting journey through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and a place called Tizi-N-Tichka Pass. We will make a few stops so you can enjoy amazing views. Afterwards, we will visit a famous place called the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is an ancient kasbah registered as a UNESCO world heritage site. Many movies have been filmed there, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Afterwards, we will go to a desert gate called Ouarzazate. You will have free time for lunch. After lunch, we will see the Valley of Roses and a large area of palm trees called Skoura. Finally, we will head to a place called Boumalne Dades, where we will spend the night. It will be a fun day with lots of great views!
After breakfast, we will head into the Dades Valley. We will stop at a cool spot overlooking the valley, so you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the Dades Gorges. Then, we will continue to the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River created a huge canyon in the mountains, forming high red cliffs. You will be able to walk through the gorges and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will also pass palm groves in Touroug and Tinjdad, and you will have some free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will reach the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. Here, you will get on camels and ride through the sandy desert. We will stop so you can watch the sunset over a high sand dune – it’s like magic! Afterwards, we will head to a luxury desert camp. You will be able to listen to Berber drum music, dance around a campfire, and gaze at the stars in the open sky. Dinner and a comfortable night’s sleep will be at the camp. It will be a unique and incredible experience!
Start your day by setting an early alarm, giving you the chance to witness a stunning and magnificent sunrise. After breakfast, we will head to Rissani, the historical foundation of the current ruling family. Then, we drive along the Ziz River and stop for a panoramic view of this valley. The trip continues, passing through the cedar forest, where Barbary macaque monkeys live. You will be able to feed them and walk through the forest, then we will stop in Ifrane, a special town because it is very cold and snowy and has houses that look like those in the mountains of Switzerland. Afterwards, we will drive to Fes, where we will spend the night in your riad.
After breakfast in your riad, you will discover the city of Fes with our friendly guide.
