DAY 1: OUARZAZATE – KASBAH AMRIDIL – ERFOUD – OVERNIGHT IN A CAMP

We will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or Ouarzazate Airport and start our excursion with a city tour. We will visit the renowned Atlas Studio, where classic movies were filmed, as well as the ancient Kasbah of Taourirt. Heading southeast, we will reach the Amridil Kasbah of Skoura, partially surrounded by palm trees. Our next visit will be to the Valley of Roses, famous for its Annual Rose Festival in May, which offers a variety of rose products such as perfumes, rose water, oil and cosmetics. We will continue to the stunning Dades Valley, reaching an elevated viewing point to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Dades Gorges. Afterwards, we will head to the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River built a spectacular canyon with high red rocks. You will have time to have lunch and walk through the gorges, admiring the natural beauty. We will arrive in Merzouga, in the Sahara Desert, in the afternoon. Here, you will switch to riding camels through the sandy desert. We will stop at the top of a high dune to watch the stunning sunset. Later, we will head to a luxury desert camp, where you can dance around the campfire, gaze at the starry sky and listen to the gentle rhythms of Berber drums. This unforgettable day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – ZIZ VALLEY – IFRANE – FES

Start your day by setting your alarm early, giving you the chance to witness a breathtaking and magnificent sunrise. After breakfast, we will head to Rissani, the historical foundation of the current ruling family. It is still an important place for trade and has a large market that is busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Afterwards, we will visit a workshop where they make things from fossilized marble in Erfoud. Then, we will drive along the Ziz River and stop to enjoy a panoramic view of this valley. The trip continues, passing through the cedar forest, where the Barbary macaque monkeys live. You will be able to feed them and walk through the forest, then we will stop in Ifrane, a special city because it is very cold and snowy and has houses that resemble those in the mountains of Switzerland. Afterwards, we will drive to Fes, where we will spend the night in your riad.
