We will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or Ouarzazate Airport and start our excursion with a city tour. We will visit the renowned Atlas Studio, where classic movies were filmed, as well as the ancient Kasbah of Taourirt. Heading southeast, we will reach the Amridil Kasbah of Skoura, partially surrounded by palm trees. Our next visit will be to the Valley of Roses, famous for its Annual Rose Festival in May, which features a variety of rose products such as perfumes, rose water, oil and cosmetics. We will continue to the magnificent Dades Valley, reaching an elevated viewpoint to take in the stunning scenery of the Dades Gorges. After that, we will travel to the Todra Gorges, where the Todra River has built a spectacular canyon with high red rocks. You will have time to have lunch and walk through the gorges, admiring the natural beauty. We will arrive in Merzouga, in the Sahara Desert, in the afternoon. Here, you will switch to riding camels through the sandy desert. We will stop at the top of a high dune to watch the stunning sunset. Later, we will travel to a luxury desert camp, where you can dance around the campfire, gaze at the starry sky and listen to the soothing rhythms of Berber drums. This unforgettable day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.
Wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise in the desert – it’s a must! Take some time for breakfast. After that, head back to Merzouga by camels – the driver will be waiting. We will tour the Merzouga region, packed with amazing places for outdoor activities, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil regions, and a wonderful oasis. In Merzouga, we start with an off-road tour to an abandoned eyeliner mine. Afterwards, we will have tea with Berbers and meet nomads in their hand-woven tents to learn about their way of life. The next destination is the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. The people living here come from sub-Saharan countries, including Niger, Sudan, and Mali. Take a break for lunch at a restaurant. After that, finally, we head back to Merzouga for dinner and overnight in a desert camp.
Today, make sure to wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise in the heart of the desert. After this magical moment, take some free time to enjoy a warm Moroccan breakfast. Afterwards, you will return by camels or by the camp’s 4×4 vehicle to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting for you. The journey continues to Rissani, famous for its bustling and diverse souk. Then, we will head to Alnif and travel alongside the picturesque Draa Valley until we reach Ouarzazate. Crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, we head to Marrakech. Your 3-day desert adventure concludes with a transfer to your accommodation in Marrakech. It will be an unforgettable journey through the desert landscapes and vibrant cities of Morocco.
