Starting from your hotel in Fes, our Middle Atlas and Berber Caves tour takes you on a comfortable, air-conditioned journey to explore the beauty of the Middle Atlas region. Our first stop is in Imouzzer, a charming village between Fes and Ifrane, where you can enjoy the outdoors. We then head to Azrou, an authentic Berber village where locals still live in tents and caves. In Azrou, you will see houses with the classic green-painted doors, windows, and glazed tiles. Our adventure continues with a visit to the caves, especially the Mama Aicha Cave, built about three hundred years ago. Engage in conversations with local people, and your driver will provide translations to help you understand more about Berber culture, life, and traditions. Nearby, explore the oldest cedar forest in Morocco and Africa, enjoying the cool, peaceful surroundings of this beautiful region. Watch Berber apes leaping and swinging through the trees as you catch a glimpse of their natural habitat. Experience tea time with a Berber nomadic family in their tent, sitting on Berber rugs and asking questions to discover more about their traditions, culture and way of life. After this unique cultural experience, we explore Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland”, appreciating its flower-lined paths and French-style architecture in this picturesque ski resort. To add to the beauty of the tour, we drive about 15 kilometers from Ifrane to reach the picturesque “Lake Dayit Awa”, which offers an extraordinary natural landscape. It is an ideal place to stroll, relax and enjoy the charm of the lake environment. In the late afternoon, we will transfer to Fez and drop you off at your accommodation.
