Arriving in Tangier by plane or by ferry? These are our two private tours from Tangier, 7 and 10 days long, with an English-speaking driver. Both are a Tangier to Marrakech tour via Chefchaouen, Fes and the desert. We don’t run shorter tours from Tangier: they would mean too many hours on the road each day.
Starting in Tangier
Tangier is Morocco’s northern gateway, by air or by ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar. Both tours start the same way: Tetouan, with its white medina, then through the Rif hills to Chefchaouen for the night. From there you head south, so you cross the country in one direction. Yes: we pick you up at the port in Tangier. The ferry ticket is not included. When you ask for a price on WhatsApp, tell us what time your ferry arrives.
Can I do Tangier to Marrakech as a day trip?
We don’t offer it as a day trip: it’s a long drive and you’d miss everything along the way. Our tours take at least 7 days, with stops in Chefchaouen, Fes and the desert. Do I have to come back to Tangier at the end?
No: both tours end in Marrakech. If you need to get back to Tangier for your ferry or flight, tell us and we’ll adjust the route. More on our custom tours page.
How many days do I need from Tangier?
Seven days at least: anything shorter would mean too many hours on the road each day. Seven gives you time for Chefchaouen, a guided day in Fes and two nights in the dunes before Marrakech. Ten lets you do all of that without rushing.
