Spring
Easter in Morocco
Easter in Morocco means spring weather and a country that’s easy to reach from Europe. We suggest private routes of 3 to 7 days that fit the Easter holidays, with your own vehicle and an English-speaking driver.
The dates change every year
Easter has no fixed date: it falls between late March and late April, depending on the year, and school holidays around it vary by country. Check how many days you really have before choosing a route.
Easter isn’t a holiday in Morocco, so daily life carries on as normal, but many European travellers arrive and accommodation fills up earlier. Also check whether Ramadan falls in your dates that year: it moves about eleven days earlier every year and changes some opening hours.
Spring weather
March and April are a good time for most of Morocco: pleasant temperatures for walking the medinas of Fes and Marrakech, green countryside in the north and a south not yet in summer heat. Nights are cool, especially in the Atlas, where snow can linger on the peaks, and in the desert, so bring a jacket. Month by month in our guide to the best time to visit Morocco.
Short routes that fit the Easter break

Getting there: by plane or by ferry from Spain
Our tours start in Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca and Tangier, all with international airports. If you’re combining Morocco with southern Spain, ferries cross from Tarifa and Algeciras to Tangier: Tarifa boats arrive at Tanger Ville port, next to the medina, and most Algeciras sailings at Tanger Med, outside the city. Over Easter the Strait is busy, so book tickets early and check timetables with the ferry companies.
From Tangier, the 5-day tour to Casablanca is designed for ferry arrivals. See all tours from Tangier.
If you arrive by ferry, we pick you up at the port in Tangier. The ferry ticket is not included.
