  1. Day 1: Marrakech

    Arrival in Marrakech

    We meet you at Marrakech Menara airport and take you to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, free time to rest or take a first walk. In the evening, Jemaa el-Fna square fills with storytellers, musicians and food stalls.

  2. Day 2: Marrakech

    Marrakech with a local guide

    A guided tour with a local guide: the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef madrasa and the souks, and the Koutoubia from outside. If you like, the Majorelle Garden, subject to availability and with a separate ticket. In the evening, Jemaa el-Fna square at your own pace.

  3. Day 3: Marrakech → Tizi n’Tichka pass → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Valley of Roses → Dades Valley

    An early pick-up at your accommodation. Over the High Atlas by the Tizi n’Tichka pass to the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a World Heritage Site. Through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.

  4. Day 4: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga

    The Todra Gorge and Tassili Luxury Desert Camp

    A stop at a viewpoint over the Dades Valley and a walk through the Todra Gorge, between towering limestone walls. On to Merzouga and, at sunset, a camel trek across the dunes to Tassili Luxury Desert Camp. A traditional Moroccan dinner and an evening under the desert stars, with local music and Berber hospitality.

  5. Day 5: Merzouga

    The Sahara by 4x4: nomads and Gnawa music

    Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast. Back to Merzouga village by camel or with the camp transfer, as agreed, and a day by 4x4 around the area: an old kohl mine, tea with a nomad family, desert settlements and oases, and Khamlia, the village of Gnawa music. Back at Tassili in the afternoon, free time to relax or take photos, then dinner and a second night in the Sahara.

  6. Day 6: Merzouga → Erfoud → Ziz Valley → Midelt → Ifrane → Fes

    From the Sahara to the Middle Atlas and Fes

    Breakfast, then we leave the desert and head north. Through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley, with its palm groves and viewpoints, to Midelt, between the High and Middle Atlas. Across the cedar forests, where you may see Barbary macaques, with a stop in alpine-looking Ifrane. Arrival in Fes in the evening.

  7. Day 7: Fes

    Fes with a local guide

    A tour of Fes with a local guide: the gates of the Royal Palace, the Fes el-Bali medina, a World Heritage Site, with its craft souks and madrasas. Free time in the afternoon to keep exploring its lanes.

    End of the trip in Fes

    A last walk in Fes and, depending on your flight time, a transfer to the airport.

Is the tour private?

Yes. The vehicle and driver are just for your group: you don’t share the trip with other travellers. Your driver speaks English, Spanish, French or Italian.

Where does it start and finish?

It starts in Marrakech, with pick-up at your accommodation, and finishes in Fes. On the last day we take you to the airport in time for your flight.

What is the night in the desert like?

Both nights are at Tassili Luxury Desert Camp, our sister camp in the Merzouga dunes, with tents that have a private bathroom. At sunset you ride a camel across the dunes to the camp, where you have dinner and spend the night.

Can I change the route or the number of days?

Yes. Because the tour is private, you can add or remove days and change stops or the type of accommodation. Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll send you an adapted route, or see how a custom tour works.

How is it different from the 3- and 4-day tours from Marrakech to Fes?

This one adds an arrival day, a guided visit of Marrakech, another of Fes and the airport transfer, and both desert nights are at Tassili Luxury Desert Camp. If you have fewer days, the 3-day and 4-day tours go straight from Marrakech to Fes through the desert.
