A Chefchaouen day trip from Casablanca is possible, but you should know before you book: it’s a very long day, around 12 to 14 hours, with about 4 hours’ drive each way. In return you see the blue medina, the kasbah and Outa el-Hammam Square without changing hotels.

If you have time, you can do it over 2 days with a night in Chefchaouen. It’s a private tour: the vehicle and driver are just for your group.

A very long day: what you need to know

We leave your hotel in Casablanca very early and head up the coast motorway before turning into the Rif. It’s about 4 hours to Chefchaouen, where you have 4 to 5 hours for the medina, the kasbah and Outa el-Hammam Square. Then another 4 hours back: you’ll reach Casablanca after dark.

With a private driver you can stop whenever you need, but the hours on the road don’t change. If you’re travelling with children or don’t enjoy long drives, consider the 2-day option.

Chefchaouen day trip or overnight?

If you have the time, staying the night is far more comfortable: you arrive in the afternoon, see the medina at sunset, sleep there and have the next morning before driving back. The price changes because accommodation is involved, so ask us on WhatsApp with your dates. To see more of the north, the 6-day tour from Casablanca spends a night in Chefchaouen and the 12-day tour gives it a full day.
