What the day looks like
Early pick-up from your hotel in Casablanca and a motorway drive to Marrakech. There you have about 5 hours: most people start with the Koutoubia and Bahia Palace or the Saadian Tombs, wander the souks and finish in Jemaa el-Fna Square. If you prefer gardens, Majorelle is just outside the medina.
Mid-afternoon, back to Casablanca.
Is a day trip to Marrakech worth it?
Yes, if it’s your only option: you see the essentials. But it means 5 to 6 hours in the car there and back, and Marrakech is better with a night there, when the square fills with food stalls. If you have a few days, our tours from Casablanca end in Marrakech, such as the 8-day tour.
